Pastors Note:

Hi, my name is Bernadine Anderson, and I am the Pastor serving Wingard Memorial Church and Laurel Hill Lutheran Church. My husband and I arrived here in January 2025 and have been just loving the Clyo, Georgia area and we had much to learn. The Salsburg heritage and the generations of people who have been worshipping here is simply amazing!

I received my Pastoral Ministry Certificate at the Institute of Lutheran Theology. I began my Masters of Divinity program there and am now completing it, in the Spring Semester at St. Paul Lutheran Seminary. I have been pastoring for almost seven years now and feeling so blessed that God has entrusted this ministry to me. Prior to going to seminary I was heavily involved with our local church in Galena, IL as Worship Team Leader for ten years and as Administrative Assistant for six years along with that.

What I love most about our two churches is, of course, the children! How blessed am I to be able to watch them grow into being mature Christians. I very much look forward to that. I also enjoy seeing the large families that attend church together. My family is dispersed all over the United States so I must say I am a bit jealous and so glad these two churches have “taken” Dave and myself in as their own. Southern hospitality!
